By submitting a Portfolio Project application, you acknowledge + agree to the following:

Selection
This is a portfolio building opportunity, not a giveaway, contest or random drawing. Submitting an application does not guarantee selection. StudioSyd may select any number of projects, or none at all, based on portfolio needs, creative fit, project scope, availability + timeline. Selection is at StudioSyd’s discretion.

Complimentary Project + Scope
If selected, the creative work included within the agreed-upon project scope will be complimentary. Before work begins, StudioSyd + the selected business will agree on the specific project, deliverables, scope + timeline. The complimentary opportunity applies only to that agreed project. Anything added, expanded or requested outside of the agreed scope may be quoted separately. You are never required to purchase additional services.

What’s Not Included
Complimentary creative work does not include third-party or production costs. This may include printing, domains, website hosting or platform subscriptions, premium apps/plugins, stock photography, paid fonts, licensing fees or other outside expenses. Any applicable outside costs are the responsibility of the selected business unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Client Responsibilities
Selected businesses are responsible for providing any copy, photos, logos, brand assets, account access + other materials needed to complete the project. You must have permission to use any content or assets you provide to StudioSyd.

Timeline + Communication
Project timelines will be established before work begins and depend on timely communication, feedback + delivery of necessary materials. Significant delays, lack of communication or failure to provide necessary materials may result in the project being paused or discontinued.

Complimentary Scope + Additional Requests
StudioSyd will complete the project + deliverables agreed upon before work begins. The complimentary project includes the creative direction + work StudioSyd determines is appropriate to complete that agreed scope. Requests that change, expand or add to the project may fall outside of the complimentary scope. For example, this may include additional logo concepts or design changes beyond the direction StudioSyd has developed, new website pages or features that were not part of the agreed redesign, additional versions or deliverables, or updates requested after a completed marketing piece has been delivered. StudioSyd may choose to accommodate minor requests within the complimentary project at its discretion. If a request falls outside of the complimentary scope, it will be discussed before any additional work begins + pricing may be provided for that work. No paid work will ever be completed without your approval first.

Portfolio + Marketing Permission
Because the purpose of this opportunity is to build the StudioSyd portfolio, selected businesses agree that StudioSyd may document + share the project, including the business name, project process, concepts, before-and-after comparisons + finished work, on the StudioSyd website, portfolio, social media + other StudioSyd marketing materials.

Websites
For website projects, the complimentary scope will be determined based on the existing website + agreed redesign needs. Any pages, features, integrations or other additions not included in the agreed scope may be quoted separately. Platform fees, domains, hosting, paid integrations + other third-party costs are not included. StudioSyd is not responsible for pre-existing website issues, third-party platform changes or functionality controlled by outside services.

Project Completion
Once StudioSyd has completed + delivered the agreed project and deliverables, the complimentary project is considered complete. Future updates, changes, additions or other ongoing creative needs are not included in the complimentary opportunity and may be booked separately at StudioSyd’s current rates.

Before We Start
If your project is selected, you’ll receive a project-specific StudioSyd agreement outlining the exact scope, deliverables, timeline + any other terms that apply. No work begins until that agreement is accepted by both parties.
